Our team is starting out well this season but we are not going to rest on our laurels. It is a very long and very competitive NFL season. Just three weeks in we've seen so many close games all over the league. Our Cardinals team is going to work to be better every game and we can't get distracted by whatever anyone else is doing.
This week I'm donating $1,000 to Pathways, a program of Native American Community Action in Flagstaff, where we have our training camp every season. The organization was nominated by Mr. Robert Kelty, Superintendent of the Flagstaff schools. Pathways offers after-school and weekend activities that prevent substance abuse, by promoting self-esteem, educational enrichment, physical fitness, traditional practices and cultural values to children in grades 3 through 8. The program is free of charge to eligible youth and their families.
Get your nominations in!
Nominate an organization you would like to support. The organization has to be an organization that serves youth in some way. I'll be donating $1,000 for each week of the regular season to an organization nominated by a fan.
Here's what you need to do:
Send an email to larryfitzgeraldfirstdownfund@gmail.com, with an explanation of why you think the organization you are nominating deserves the gift. Let me know a little bit about your personal interest in the organization's work. The email has to also contain the name and contact information for the organization - we need at least the address or website.
